The Overnight Celebrity: Social Media and YOUR Brand

My final project is on social media and how it plays a huge role in the lives of it’s users without most even knowing.  It explains how users of these social media sites are creating their own brands in which most of the time, they don't even know. Exploitation plays a major role in the over night celebrity as well.  Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton are just a two examples of how not to create your brand. Other self made, over night celebrities can even consist of bloggers like Karen Civil and Perez Hilton or artist like Justin Bieber.

I'm mainly targeting everyone who has some kind of attachment to social media sites like Instagram, Twitter and YouTube. My message is to spread awareness and explaining why it's so important to a protect your brand and both the positive and negative sides of social media. Without protecting your brand, it will be very hard to recover from the effects of being “infamous."
